Yoga educator and instructor
I’m an Inglewood raised, fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Higher Education at UCLA, studying Black student experiences in school. My passion is deeply rooted in educational equity, and I always try to center Black students and their success. I danced throughout my childhood and as I got older, I realized how beneficial that was to my own mental health and well-being. Dance was my outlet. When, for some unknown reason, I stopped dancing, I realized I needed something to calm my mind and ground myself. That’s when I started practicing yoga, and after a few years, realized the educator in me had to teach, and share this practice with others, especially my community. My ultimate goal is to create a non-profit geared toward providing resources within the community, including both yoga and yoga education, but also tutoring, college prep resources, mentorship, etc.
